A terminal agent can use the Apex Racing MCP server too. You add the server URL with one command or in the config file. Then the agent opens Apex Racing in your browser, you sign in and you select Authorize. That is all.
The server URL is:
https://apexracing.io/api/v1/mcp
You need an Apex Racing account with the trial or a plan, and at least one session that p0 recorded. The sign-in opens a browser on your computer, so do it on a computer with a browser, not over SSH.
Claude Code
Add the server. --scope user makes it available in all your projects.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user apexracing https://apexracing.io/api/v1/mcp
Then sign in:
- Start Claude Code and type
/mcp. - Select apexracing and follow the steps in your browser.
- Sign in to Apex Racing and select Authorize.
To sign out, open /mcp again and select Clear authentication.

Codex
Add the server:
codex mcp add apexracing --url https://apexracing.io/api/v1/mcp
Then sign in:
codex mcp login apexracing
Your browser opens Apex Racing. Sign in and select Authorize.
The add command writes the server to ~/.codex/config.toml. You can also add it there yourself:
[mcp_servers.apexracing]
url = "https://apexracing.io/api/v1/mcp"
In the Codex IDE extension and the Codex desktop app, select Authenticate when the server asks for a sign-in.
opencode
Add the server to your global config, ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json:
{
"$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
"mcp": {
"apexracing": {
"type": "remote",
"url": "https://apexracing.io/api/v1/mcp",
"enabled": true
}
}
}
Then sign in:
opencode mcp auth apexracing
Your browser opens Apex Racing. Sign in and select Authorize. When you do not run this command, opencode asks you to sign in the first time that it uses the server.
Use It
Ask your question in the agent, for example "Compare my two best laps of my last session". The agent calls the Apex Racing tools and shows each call. For more examples, see What Can I Ask? or the MCP server page. MCP Server: All Tools lists each tool.
When It Does Not Work
- The server does not show in the agent. Start a new session of the agent after you add the server. In Claude Code,
claude mcp listshows all servers. - The browser does not open. The sign-in needs a browser on the same computer. Run the agent on your own computer for the sign-in.
- The sign-in fails. Sign in on apexracing.io first, then run the sign-in step again. When the Apex Racing page asks you, select Authorize, not Deny.
- The agent says that your account needs a plan. The MCP server needs the trial or a plan. Open Settings → Billing.
- The agent finds no data. The tools read only what p0 recorded. Drive one session with p0, then ask again.
