What is my race pace?

One long run gives your race pace.

A run is the laps between two pit visits. A run with 6 racing laps or more and fuel for 10 laps or more is a long run. Its median lap is your race pace.

A purpose for each run

Quali sim, long run, setup test or track learning. The laps, the fuel and the setup decide it.

This session: 8 runs, 3 quali sims, 1 long run
Mistake laps: you decide

A lap more than 3σ slower than the trend of its run leaves the stats. One click puts it back, on every device.

Fuel in laps

Fuel counts in laps of fuel. A share of the tank, litres and kilograms all read the same.

Long run: fuel for 29 laps at the start
Where do I lose time?

Your rival, metre by metre.

Apex Racing puts your best lap on the fastest friend lap in your car class. The trace shows where the gap opens. The sectors and the corner phases show why.

1 or 2 stops?

The faster plan, and how sure it is.

The strategy runs the race 500 times on a model of your laps: pace, fuel, tyre wear and pit loss. You get the best plan for 1 stop and for 2 stops, and how sure it is.

60min A 60 minute race is 33 laps. With 1 lap of reserve, it burns 110 % of a tank, so you stop at least once.

Pit loss from your stops

AMS2 does not time a stop. The loss is the in-lap plus the out-lap minus two median laps, marked as estimated.

This session: 4 stops, 38.7 s on average
A window, not one lap

Each pit lap of a plan that finishes within 2 s of the best is in the window. Before the ideal lap is the undercut, after it the overcut.

How sure it is

Fuel, pit loss, pace, tyres and traffic each count. Measured counts in full, estimated half. Below 75 % the plan is leading, not the likely winner.

What it needs

Before your first practice plan

A practice or time trial

The tab opens on practice and time trial sessions. A time trial has no long run and no strategy.

p0 on Windows

The tray app records every lap with its fuel and tyres. You start nothing.

Data per game

AMS2 sends TC and ABS per lap. F1 25 times its pit stops. iRacing sends no tyre wear.

A rival

A friend’s lap in your class, or your own earlier best. Corner phases need a track with mapped corners. Find friends
