Features Connect Claude

You can add the Apex Racing MCP server to Claude as a custom connector. You add it once on claude.ai. The connector then works in claude.ai and in the Claude desktop app.

Before You Start

You need three things:

  • An Apex Racing account with the trial or a plan.
  • At least one session that p0 recorded. See Your First Session.
  • A Claude account. Custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Ultra, Team and Enterprise plans. On the Free plan, you can add one custom connector.

The server URL is:

https://apexracing.io/api/v1/mcp

Add the Connector (Free, Pro, Max, Ultra)

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Type a name, for example Apex Racing.
  4. Paste the server URL into the URL field.
  5. For Authentication, select Sign in now.
  6. For OAuth client, select Register automatically.
  7. Select Add.

In some accounts, the dialog shows the name, the URL and Advanced settings on one screen. Then leave Advanced settings empty and select Add. Apex Racing needs no client ID and no secret.

Add the Connector (Team, Enterprise)

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector for the organization:

  1. The Owner opens Organization settings → Connectors.
  2. The Owner selects Add, then Custom. When Claude asks for the type, the Owner selects Web.
  3. The Owner pastes the server URL and selects Add.

Each member then opens Customize → Connectors, finds the connector with the Custom label and selects Connect.

  1. Claude opens Apex Racing in a new window. Sign in with your Apex Racing account.
  2. Apex Racing asks if Claude can use your account. Select Authorize.

You sign in only once. Claude keeps the connection.

Turn It On in a Chat

  1. Start a chat.
  2. Select the + button in the message field, then Connectors.
  3. Turn on Apex Racing.
  4. Ask your question.

Claude asks you before it uses a tool. Select Always allow only when you trust the tool. The tools that can change a game server of your league always ask first.

For example questions, see What Can I Ask? or the MCP server page. MCP Server: All Tools lists each tool.

When It Does Not Work

  • There is no "Add custom connector" option. On a Team or Enterprise plan, only an Owner can add a custom connector. Ask an Owner.
  • The connector does not show in the chat. Open + → Connectors and turn on Apex Racing.
  • The sign-in fails. Sign in on apexracing.io first, then try again. When the Apex Racing page asks you, select Authorize, not Deny.
  • You must change a setting of the connector. You cannot change the sign-in settings of a connector. Remove the connector in Customize → Connectors and add it again.
  • Claude says that your account needs a plan. The MCP server needs the trial or a plan. Open Settings → Billing.
  • Claude finds no data. The tools read only what p0 recorded. Drive one session with p0, then ask again.
