Your First Session
Once the p0 client is connected and your game is running, data flows automatically. Here's what to expect.
Starting a Session
- Launch p0 and make sure it's authenticated
- Start your game and enter a session (practice, qualifying, or race)
- p0 detects the session and begins collecting telemetry
You don't need to press any buttons — recording starts automatically.
Completing Laps
Each time you cross the start/finish line, p0 packages the lap data and sends it to Apex Racing. You'll see laps appear on your dashboard in near real-time.
Invalid laps (pit laps, laps with major cuts) are still recorded but flagged accordingly.
Viewing Your Data
After completing a few laps:
- Open the Dashboard
- Your latest session will appear at the top
- Click on a session to see individual laps, sector times, and telemetry
What Gets Captured
Every lap includes:
- Lap time and sector times
- Telemetry traces — speed, throttle, brake, steering, gear, RPM, and more
- Tire data — temperatures, pressures, wear, compound
- Fuel data — fuel load and consumption
- Car setup data — where available from the game
- Position data — x/y/z coordinates for track map visualization
Session Types
Apex Racing recognizes these session types:
- Practice — free practice, including short practice
- Qualifying — all qualifying formats (Q1/Q2/Q3, one-shot, sprint shootout)
- Race — full races and sprint races
- Time Trial — single-car time trial sessions
What's Next
Now that your data is flowing, learn to read it. The Reading Telemetry guide walks you through the three fundamental traces — speed, throttle, and brake — and teaches you to interpret corner shapes, braking styles, and exit quality. Start there, then explore Dashboard to understand your performance overview.
